Dirt being turned on the NCM's $9M expansion!

"The expansion will add 47,000 square feet to the existing 69,000 square feet and will include a library-archives, a cafeteria with 75 seats, a greatly expanded gift store and a conference center with a seating capacity of 400. The center also can be used to display 50 additional cars.

It also will add a dedicated area for inspection, display and pick-up of special-delivery Corvettes people order from the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant.

Plans also include the renovation of 17,000 existing square feet and the addition of 275 parking spaces."

The current target is to be ready for the Museum’s 15th anniversary on Labor Day 2009.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I can't wait to see the new addition in 09. My wife and I picked up our 07 there last December and really enjoyed the experience. We sent a recommendation of adding a cafeteria or having food catered in. I'm glad to see that others must have done the same. The NCM delivery is almost a whole day affair and man you really get hungry after the factory tour and salivating over the new wheels.:thumbsup:

Used too?

While on this subject....When we were taking the tour in September, the guide mentioned that you can request a used car delivery for the same $450. When I asked how you go about doing that, he said call ahead, give them your vin #, set a date and they will have the paperwork, plaque, etc when you arrive. Has anyone else heard of this? :shrug01:

... better yet, it's only $350...

I'll have to get back up there one of these days. I've let my membership lapse too. :shrug01: I'll have to renew that when I get a chance.
