How many fish did you catch in that 36 hour time span?

The ones you have to throw back, do they survive afterwards? Last time I have ever been fishing was MANY moons ago with my father. I don't think I could put up with all the BS involved these days. Have to be able to identify the fish, then know the size limits, and the limit on number caught, and who the heck knows what else. Just way too much trouble, which I guess is their goal from the beginning. What is any government agency if they don't control something about what people do? Yeah, trick question. There is no such thing.

I made good money fishing on party boats selling the fish back in the 80's and 90's.

Some make it and some don't. The deeper you fish over 130ft the more that die.

Yeah, so having to throw them back overboard really accomplishes what?

Yeah, I lived in Jacksonville after I got out of the Navy in the early 80's. My dad had a commercial fishing boat and one of his friends fished on weekends for extra money. Dad used his boat as a tax write off but his friend didn't claim any income and didn't pay any taxes from the fish he sold. The IRS audited the fish house that he sold to and audited some of the fishermen. Yep! He got caught! They garnished his wages! I think he owed them about $8500 IIRC. Not a fortune but that was a lot of money back then and he was a school teacher so he wasn't making much to begin with. And he had a wife and kids.

Another "sissy" rain again today. Had a really strong storm front heading our way earlier tonight, power flickering on and off in the house. Even had a tornado watch issued. I thought we would get a substantial rain out of it. But nope. Just 0.16". The heavier storms just moved around us. Again.
Looks like another storm heading this way, but it is NW of Panama City right now and I have no doubts whatsoever that it will fizzle out before getting here.

Well, about time! Finally some substantial rainfall! 1.94" today, with possibly more over night.
Now I won't have to be watering plants every day for a while.
