Z16 Wreck (Photos)

Saw this on Z06Vette.com. Happened in Houston. That really sucks. The driver was fine. Then he found out the woman that ran the red light, did not have insurance or a drivers license. She should be taken directly to jail!

Then to make it worse, the tow truck driver dragged the Vette over the curb. That is why there are pictures of the curb and the back of the Vette and the rear brake duct. I would never let anyone tow my Z if it wasn't on a flatbed.

Oh man, that makes me sick to look at and imagine it happening to me. Glad the driver wasn't hurt. Hope they total it for him so he can purchase a new Z:nonod: ................Tom

Damn that sucks!

Where was the red light? Looks like a parking lot. Wonder where anyone got that kind of speed going in a parking lot.:shrug01:

Ouch! Man, I hope I never get into an accident with my Z. I would probably toss my cookies looking at the damage. It would be like looking at my own leg detached from my body......

I hate to see that happen to anyone, especially a 'vette driver. :nonod: Glad the driver was OK. On the shot of the inside of the car it doesn't look like the airbags deployed. Sure seems like they should've given the damage to the front end.:shrug01: Good thing the driver walked away. If not, the airbag thing could've come back to bite the general.

2024 Z16's and counting...

Goes to show why you really need to do your homework before buying a used Vette.

Seems the carbon fiber hood on the Z16 is not as brittle as the fiberglass on the rest of the car
