Vette shows in December?

My wife broke out the calendar so we could try to schedule some things for our weekends in December, and I told her I wanted to see what was going on, vette-wise, to see if there were any shows going on and then go from there. Not much listed for the month..... Things just slow for vette shows in December or are there a bunch of them missing from the calendar listing (http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/calendar.php?month=12&year=2006&c=2&do=displaymonth)?

I think these vette shows will be an excellent reason to visit different towns around the state. So which ones am I not hearing about? I'm looking for a good excuse to go to St. Augustine.......

We've got a few small shows and a parade to do this month, but I think it slows down with all the holiday preparation and parties that the employers hold etc.......... Nothing major around here.

We love it there.

We Never need a good reason to visit St Augustine, we just go when it urge hits us!

Ray - maybe we can have our own mini Corvette cruise thru St. Augustine.... :)

Been quite a while since Connie and I have been there.

Just a few smaller shows here on the southwest side of the state in December. The next big one statewide would be the NCRS winter meet in Kissimmee in January if I'm not mistaken. It's changed a little over time, but still a nice show and lots of vendors!!

We'd be all over that idea, except weekends in December aren't good for us this year.
Lots of stuff going on with the Holiday coming up and our business.
It would be different if it were on a weekday.

Well that may work. Connie and I were discussing that just today. Thinking about leaving early on Thursday, spending the night in St. Augustine, and heading back later on Friday. Of course, nothing is set in stone, but we're thinking about shooting for next week if no emergencies crop up here.

Weather-permiting, this Sunday (3 December ) is a Corvette-gathering at Orlando Speed World Dragway, for that track's final Sunday 'test-and-tune' session of the season.....
there is a thread already started about the event.

If you're in West Central FL, Nature Coast Corvettes is having a show at Weeki Wachee this Sunday, Dec 3rd benefiting Toys for Tots. All they're asking is for an unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more, NO STUFFED ANIMALS PLEASE. There will also be cycles and classics also from what I understand. Registration is from 8-10am.
