• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Wow!! I agree with the CF members! It looks great. What a transformation:thumbsup:
What happened to the black wheels? They're not on the car in these pictures.

Unfortunately, I ran into a problem where the wheels were not round. :banghead: So I had to send them back to iForged to have them corrected. I had them back before my trip, but decided to not risk having the same problem. I just hope that when I get them install they don't have any problems. :shrug01:

Not round? Did you know before you had them mounted?? How do you tell? Do they go "thump" when you drive? Were they all out of round? I don't think I've heard that before. I can see why you wouldn't want to take them on a trip that far!

I had an out of round rim on a truck once and at 60 mph it would vibrate and bounce so hard I could barely keep it on the road....

No, I did not know they were not round when they were mounted. After getting home I called the tire shop complaining that my car was vibrating at any speed and they said it was expected since I had the same tires and different wheels. Well after a few hundred miles, I could still feel a lot of vibration. So I took it back and they said they were all not round, then I put back the original ones and sent the new wheels to iForged. I could see they were not even when they had them on the road force machine. Well got them before my trip and Vince at iForged said the two front were not to spec. But, I haven't change them out. Hopefully next week I'll schedule an appointment with the same tire shop. :banghead:

If I would've known iForged had such a bad reputation I would've gone another route. It sure will be my first and last iForged wheels.

Good luck ! Are you going to keep the black wheels on the car, though? You've done a nice job there:thumbsup:

I hope the wheels are fine now. I'll see when I mount them next Saturday. I do like them and hope to keep them. :shrug01:

that is a really nice looking car even if it is a c-6!:lmao: just kidding. i think the black c-6's look great and that interior you have makes it look even better. i cant wait to see it with the black wheels on it. :crazy03: post pics asap.
