Default Ideas on asking price TH400 1975

After the swap from auto to manual is complete I will be looking to sell my TH400. I'm not sure if I should sell it as a package with the shifter, shifter plate, etc., or sell the tranny separate from the rest.

Any thoughts on a price and strategy? Thanks.

Probably cost a BOATLOAD to ship, so I would be looking locally to start.
Get the word out at some of the car shows, like pass out half sheet fliers.
Maybe check out ebay to see what similar items are going for. I think I would
list the transmission as 1 item, and do the shifter, shifter plate, etc., as a
separate item. The transmission will fit into a bunch of vehicles and may be
bought by someone that doesn't even own a Vette. The other stuff is Corvette
specific and will only be of interest to another Vette owner.
Just my 2 cents worth.............., and good luck with the sale.

Good points. Shipping shouldn't be too crazy. The manual trans and all the other parts cost $180 to be shipped to me.

Thanks, guys.

Cool, thanks. I appreciate that.

The previous owner had the transmission serviced some years ago. Not many miles on it since the servicing. I've experienced absolutely no problems. The guy helping me with the conversion says he might be interested. He says the TH400 is a favorite of his. I'm not greedy about getting a gazillion dollars for it. I would just like to get something to off-set the expense of the conversion.
