When I was looking for a forced induction add on for my C5Z, I also considered the Magnacharger among everything else that was available. I kept a sort of mental comparison sheet as to the pros and cons to everything I was considering.
On the pro side of the MagnaCharger: - Very reliable
- Very good *oomph* at low and mid rpm ranges
- Install didn't seem very difficult
- Very nice *bling* factor under the hood
Con side: - Need to replace the hood (plus have the new hood painted), which adds about $1,000 to the price of getting this unit
- Been some issues of engine overheating noted
- ALL of the added weight (80-100 lbs) is sitting up front.
- Power tends to fall off at high RPMs
- Heat soaking can be an issue
Hope that helps....

Get with Robert (Pewter99) either here or on the other forum. He has had one on his C5 for quite a while now. I'm sure he can fill you in on the in's and out's.
If you're in the area of Insty Tune & Lube on N. Dale Marby in Tampa on Saturday evenings between about 5-8 pm, you'll likely find one or 2 up there as well
*EDIT* Ok, reading is fundamental!! I see you're in Clermont.

Personally, If i was going to go with forced induction, I'd roll with an ATI procharger. http://www.procharger.com/GM/gm_auto.shtml
They spool when not in use, so it doesn't hurt the vettes wonderful fuel economy, yet delievers a ton of power when you plant your foot. I was looking at one for a while for my truck, but I'll just be going with a stroker motor. If you want a professional opinion, I'd contact the Corvette Doctor in Clearwater.
