Got some error messages on the 2001

Robert got a "sevice traction control" and then a "service engine soon" error message while driving his 2001 yesterday. He's gonna try to pull the codes tomorrow to find out what's up :shrug01: Hopefully he'll get it figured out and fixed without too much trouble.

Hope it is nothing serious. Could be anything from a bad ground wire to a busted TC module.

Good luck!

Robert took it to the local shop and they couldn't find any codes. I also found the instructions from the other forum on how to do the self check and nothing showed up there either. So far, so good. The error messages have not returned :dancer01: Maybe the car was just having a bad day :shrug01:
We'll be taking it to the show in Port Charlotte tomorrow. I've got my AAA up to date and it won't be the first time we rode home in the cab of a tow truck with a corvette up on the bed

I'm not sure on this but if it's not a recurring problem, don't the codes clear automatically after so many ignition cycles?:shrug01: That may explain why you didn't find any stored codes.

:shrug01: I'm with you on that one, Mark. The message was on the DIC when he took it to the shop, I think he said. At this point, we're just gonna see what happens. We'll give it a chance to act up tomorrow.
