Change Oil Light

Hi all,
I have a question. I was driving my Vette the other day and the change oil light came on. Needless to say I was in line to have it changed within 15 minutes. The change oil light is still on. Does this have to be reset or is there something wrong with the car. Any advise is appreciated.
