I received this in an email "newsletter" today

Thanks to the efforts of the SEMA Action Network, a Congressional resolution was introduced and unanimously passed, creating Collector Car Appreciation Day, and efforts continue to create a Congressional resolution to make this an annual event.

Our hobby is unique. Not only is it our passion, but it provides countless jobs, especially in the automotive parts and services industry. And it brings like-minded people together. It may be a garage day with a couple of your buddies, or on the show field with a couple hundred others, or even at the race track, together with thousands. We're all there for one reason...the love of our collectible automobile.

With that in mind, clubs and organizations are encouraged to make Friday, July 12th a special day, and host a Collector Car Appreciation Day show or cruise in.

If your club or organization is hosting a Collector Car Appreciation Day event that weekend...a show, special cruise in, or other event, be sure to let us know. We'll do our part by highlighting them all in the event listings, and promoting them on the FlaCarShows.com website, as well as in the July Newsletter.
