Roy Orbison’s 1967 Corvette Sting Ray
This Rally Red 1967 Sting Ray was the last car that Roy Orbison purchased. It was a daily driver and was driven to the studio during the recording of “The Traveling Wilburys” and “Mystery Girl” albums. Mr. Orbison was a big Corvette fan and owned many Corvettes over the years. The Sting Ray is on loan to the National Corvette Museum from Barbara Orbison, Roy’s wife.
This is a matching numbers 1967 Sting Ray with an L68 427ci / 400hp motor. It has the “6-pack” carburetor set up with a 4 speed manual transmission. Other features include factory side pipes, air conditioning, power windows, power steering and chrome step plates. The white Stinger stripe and white interior finish off this beautiful Sting Ray.
Enjoy
