For Sale 1995 Corvette-White/Tan, Automatic

For Sale: 1995 Corvette

White with tan interior and automatic transmission. 225k miles. I am the second owner and have owned it since 220k miles. The original owner drove it daily for years until running it hot and blowing the head gasket. It was purchased with a blown head gasket at 220k miles. The engine was rebuilt and the car cleaned up.

Engine/Transmission

Stock pistons, rods, crank, new rings, rod, main, and cam bearings. New timing chain, pushrods, water pump drive, water pump, plug wires, and optispark. Replaced all water and heater hoses (bypassed the throttlebody). Transmission filter and fluid change performed at the time of the engine rebuild.

Runs/drives great. Engine leaks no oil. Transmission weeps a little oil through the speed sensor. It appears that the torque converter is not locking up. Driving it, I cannot tell a difference other than the mileage is less than what other people say they are getting. I average 22-23 MPG on the interstate and high teens in town. It has the 3.07 gear performance axle.

Brakes

Less than 1000 miles on cross-drilled GM Performance rotors and pads. KYB gas shocks with the same mileage.

Exterior

New front side windows with light mirror tint. Mirrors were painted to repair the 220k miles of bug and road damage. Side window seals are new. Rear window seal is new. Has new door seals, but they are not installed.

Paint looks well from a few feet back as the white does not show imperfections very easy. The front bumper paint is cracked and could use repainting. The clear at the leading edge of the hood is beginning to come off, but the remainder of the paint is in ‘good’ shape for the year and mileage.

The black wheels in the photos do not come with the car. The car will be sold with a set of original style (but from a 92) sawblades in fair to poor condition. The tires will be a matching set of BFG’s (2 new and 2 with less than 1000 miles). An option here is I’ll give you the tires off the black GS wheels and you can buy a set of replacement wheels.

The mufflers have been removed, so it sounds like a Corvette should without being overly loud (the center resonator and catalytic convertors are still in place).

Interior

Fat Mat installed on floors under seats and rear compartment. New ‘truvette’ carpet. Refinished console plate and dash plate by American Hydrocarbon in wood finish. Car originally had manual seats, but I converted to dual power seats. Both seats work well. The driver seat shows most wear. Headliner is sagging as well. It has manual air conditioning that heats and cools well. The factory stereo works, but I had planned on replacing it.

General

All electrical accessories work well and there are no service engine codes set. The car runs cool and drives smoothly. Its actually quieter/smoother than my 96 that has half the miles.

Extras

I have available for purchase with the car a set of Magnaflow mufflers.

Why Am I Selling and How Much?

I have two C4 Corvettes, a pickup, and a 70 Lemans. I work a LOT trying to keep my business going in this economy, so I have very little time at home. The 95 is the one I’m least interested in keeping, but it’s the one I have spent the most time/money on lately. I’d like to find it a good home. I have nearly $10k invested in the car and all of the work has approximately 5000 miles or less on it. I’m asking $8500 or close offer. I don’t have to sell, so I won’t accept a lowball offer. Yes, there are C4 Corvettes selling for less than this, but they truly are not in the same shape as this car.

A original transmission and rear with 225K, it served the previous
owner well. Good luck with your sale at this price.

It will serve the next owner well too. I've had plenty of high mile GM cars and they're great if properly maintained. The trans fluid showed no signs of any problems when changed and the rear is nice and quiet. The original owner drove 70 miles round trip to work. It was her only car and she drove it everywhere. She took good care of it until the head gasket blew and then the dealer wanted to charge her $6000 to fix it. Then it sat in her garage for a year or so.

For the condition the car is in, the price is not bad. As I mentioned in the ad, you can find plenty of C4's for this price or less, but they will likely need most of the items I have replaced.

:D

ya its not a bad price makes me smile though i am selling mine aswell tryign to get a bit more since mine only has 75k miles and a ton more of the expensive parts lol

Yeah, the prices on these cars are in the toilet right now. Its funny to see 10 year old Civics and the like being sold for the prices some folks say these vettes aren't worth. I'll probably just keep it as it makes a great driver with all the work I've put into it. I have a 383 rotating assembly that I'm tempted to build and drop in, but I need to get my other 383 off the stand and in the GS first.

hopeing to sell mine soon so i can get my 70 out to extreme and get him started on it. or maybe trade mine for some cash and a nice trade.
