2 questions about glass roof panel and left dash panle buttons.

For whoever has a glass top do you find it to be alot hotter? How is it on a sunny day, does it come right though? Do they sell an aftermarket blocker of some sort?

Also what do the bottons on the left side of the dash column do? I found a car but those buttons are blacked out. Are they anything special. Curious to see how much of a deal breaker they are. So if you could explain what those bottons do that would be great.

As for the glass roof panel, yes, it's very hot in the summer, but they make a headliner that stays in place by static cling. I prefer the clear panel in the winter and the solid roof in summer.

I can't answer your question about the buttons...my 85 doesn't have any.
 
I didn't think the C5 glass roof panel made it any hotter, it's tinted and there are after market blockers. Also, I don't know what buttons you are referring to. Maybe give a little more info

or even some pics. Look at the option code list and see what it's suppose to have.
 
I use the static cling perforated tint on inside of glass top and it works great.

As for button, they may be controls for HUD...
 
Sorry for my lack of info ha. I was rushing to get the post in as wife was calling me.

All my questions are in reference to a c6. So where can i find these aftermarket window clings for the glass roof?

Also im referring to the buttons on a c6 left of steering wheel. You will see some base models with all those blacked out.

I have a glass top on my C6, and I dont notice a difference. Ive driven through the hottest temps florida can throw out and I survived. Plus the ladies think its looks cool at night to still see the stars with a top on.

The buttons on the left column panel are for people with the headups display. You can change the display type, options to display i.e. oil pressure, water temp, g meter. The bottom buttons show the alignment (up/down) (side-side). If you dont have headups they will prolly be blank useless buttons, which could prolly be rigged up for a cutout button or if you have a mild to wild npp setup.
 
Yeah its lexan, very expensive lexan lol. On a normal day the outside of it can be hotter then hell, but inside an palm the top its not so bad. All thanks to the wonderful tint additive they mix with the plastic.
