2014 Chevrolet Corvette: Still a Mystery, But Details Leak Out

The article pretty much says that they don't have a clue about what the C7 will bring. And honestly, from the disappointment (in my opinion) in what GM brought out with the ZR-1 after all the hype and mystery surrounding the "Blue Devil", I won't be getting my hopes up very high for this next generation.

Not that I could likely afford one anyway, when the time comes. Prices seem to just be ratching upwards, completely ignoring the state of the economy in this country.

I still keep thinking that the C7 will be a lot of C6 .Nothing real radical because GM cant afford to do much .Any other manufacture that sold less then 20,000 units would close the line .Just my humble thoughts.

I believe the Corvette should be discontinued while they are somewhat ahead of the game...

I hope they are never discontinued. They did that to the Camaro and were sorry. They brought it back. I would rather keep the lineage solid and on going.

The C6 is just a C5 1/2. So I expect the C-7 to be a "dressed up", but hopefully improved C-6. We have been waiting/wanting a better interior since 1953. Good Luck. And, with only about 12,000 Vette's being sold, it's anyone's guess as to how much GM will invest in the new car. As it stands, I intend to keep my '03 Z06 which is the best Vette I''ve ever owned.

It's a C7 mule. A c7 suspension and engine package disguised under C6 Grand Sport body panels ('m curious as to why a wider grand sport body). They've done this with the C5 (C4 body panels) and with the C6 (C5 body panels). I have no doubt it's a picture of a mule, so we should see disguised C7 body panel cars no later than summer 2012 unless they REALLY want to keep the lock down on the car.
