92 LT1 PROM Part Number SURPRISE!

92 Corvette LT1 Coupe
Hello,
I removed my ECM from my 92 LT1, in order to send it to ZIP for a rebuild.
I was told by ZIP to remove the PROM prior to sending the ECM to them. To my great surprise, when I removed the PROM cover I found TWO PROM. The one that was plugged in was PN: 122382 Hypertech (c) 1995 SN: 556394. There was another PROM just laying in the ECM, it is Delco BAFN 3876.
My problem is...I don't know which is the correct one for my car. I can't seem to find the info. I need on the internet. Thanks. Zayde

The hypertech is an aftermarket prom. The delco was probably left in there so they didn't loose the original prom, but I wouldn't suggest anyone else ever doing that.

PROM (S)

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what the after-market PROM will do that the original PROM won't? Since these are expensive, there should be a difference. Thanks. God Bless.

They mainly shift the air/fuel ratio and at 60% throttle tells the computer 100%, plus they usually have some minor shift changes in automatics. They are a fairly common upgrade for stock to very mild engines. I have one in my '89 truck and have a powerprogrammer for my 96 (no removable prom).
