Any other golfers here?

ZEEEE06

Orange Park, Fl.
I love the game but due to back problems, I'm only playing 2-3 times a week instead of my previous 6-7 times. My handicap has gone from a 2 to an 8.:ack2:

I only play once a year and can usually shoot 90.
I do enjoy best ball tournaments.
My favorite club is the 3 wood. I don't use the clubs they way they are ment to be used. I use them like a baseball bat, I try to controll the distance by the power of the stroke and I can't get away from that. If I use an iron I just zip accross the grass. Oh, the 90 was on the front 9 :hehehe:

I'm like Steve. I've only broken 100 a few times. I spend so much time in the woods you'd think I worked for the national park service.:nonod:

I have Never...

been golfing (not counting putt putt), but have been wanting to learn.
If and when do, i'd want to go with Steve and Mark, Sounds like it would be fun!!!

I consider myself a scenic golfer, I get to see every part of the course. I have probably been were no golfer has ever gone before. Well, except Mark :hehehe:
I guess I should trade in the golf shoes for hiking boots.

ZEEEE06, sorry to poke fun at a game that you obviously take very seriuosly. I enjoy taking part in the best ball tournaments with a player such as yourself on my team. And yes, you just might use 1 or 2 of my shots.
The best story that I have was a few years ago. We were maybe 30 yards from the pin. But we had water between us and the green. 1st golfer, in the water. 2nd golfer, in the water. 3rd golfer on the fringe opposite end from the pin. I put the iron back in the bag and take out my 3 wood. Cos looks at me and said the 17th green, not the 18th. I told him either I used the wood or I get wet too. I hit the ball and landed 2 feet from the pin. The next comment I heard was "Hey Steve, grab your 3 wood and put us out!" That was fun!

Hey Man,

You know all about my game...I play full contact golf. The holidays are over, the wife goes back to work and we need to get the other Rick out to play.

Give me call

Paul

:lmao: :rofl1:

I started playing about 6 months ago but I have only played at a 9 hole executive course because I am not comfortable with my game (yet) to play 18 holes. My short game including putting is my strongest game; driving and woods play is my weakest.

I'm there man. Afterward, we can all tell lies to everyone about how well we played.:D

I'll just sit at the club house and hold the table. I can fill my score card while I wait. :hehehe:

I enjoy the game of golf a lot I usually shoot just under a 100, its hard to make time for it though and I would rather be fishing If I could

When people ask me if I play golf, I usually tell them that I show up.
Love the quiet, the scenery and good friends to spend a few hours on the front nine. lol.

Sound exactly like my game, was down to a 4 playing almost daily, then back problems and now I'm a 10. :banghead: Oh well still better than working.

My wife and I like to golf but we play ARMY golf- to the left-to the right and try to find the dang ball. It is a great humbly sport. It is hard not to take yourself too seriously especially if you start playing like crap. We do like to be outdoors away from the phones and business stuff. I think I play better after a couple of beers!:lmao:

Obviously, I do not have your game. I play about twice a month during the good weather (still up north) and my handicap is in the high teens. Have a house in a gated golf course community in Ft. Myers and will be retiring there this summer. Hope to play about 3 times a week and get the handicap down in the low teens at some point!

Got to keep some time for the Vettes!

I've never been either ynke, but I've been thinking of giving it a whirrl to see if I like it. It is a pointless, rediculous, arrogant, elitest, non-sport for the most part. But getting out and enjoying the scenery with friends sounds like it could be fun :)
