- Black 79 project car -
My Black 79 - L48 TH350 - has been sitting for a while needing paint etc. One of my sons wanted to ‘borrow’ the motor for his woods truck and that’s where the motor is today. Meanwhile, I bought a 1995 (63,000 miles) Formula Firebird LT1 RamAir six speed to sacrifice as C3 Corvette power, but the Firebird drove so nice that I decided to get a late model Corvette with a six speed and paint and sell the Firebird. I have the C5; I’ve sanded some of the paint on the Firebird, but haven't the time to finish either and would like to see both gone, as is! The ‘original’ L48 and TH350 are available if you would like both cars to run, but I’d like to see the ’79 as a six speed LT1. The C3 is a project, but is mostly complete and has molded in ’80 -’82 type front and rear bumper covers and 295 tires on American 208 type rims. I drove it 60 miles a day, round trip to work, for a week (when my pickup broke its rear end) just before my son borrowed the motor. I would like $7,000, for both cars, picked up here in South Florida.
This is the car. The motor is in the truck in the background and it runs great!
Rear shot; it has '80 - '82 glass bumper covers molded in
Inside is basically complete with the TH350 automatic still in the car
Seats are serviceable, but need to be recovered
When I bought the car I was told this was the correct mileage
This is the Formula RamAir LT1 6spd Firebird
Rear end view, notice the little round spot above left of the tail light, looks like someone through a golf ball at it
This is the mileage...
on this six speed car
Tissa asked me if I would consider selling them separate...yes
