Bradenton events?

Just curious...

I actually scrolled down to the bottom of the homepage for the first time and saw the event calender. I saw only bradenton informal event shows once a month.

Whatever happened to the twice a month thing(hooters, joey d's), we now have the weather to not freeze our arses off an theres less shows? Is there any other meet an greets besides the hob nob meets i cant make. Im getting bored not being able to hang out with car nuts. The other meets i go to after the usual car shows im surrounded by a couple friends and a few moh-rons with dope fast 16sec cars ?!?!?!
 
When we were in the planning stages of the Bradenton meets, we thought once a month would do. My thinking was I didn't want to over do it. This is the event now at Hooters. A few of us just gathered at the other show, Joey D's to hang out. It's hard getting people together. At are first official event we had approx 22 Vettes showed up. More then half of those cars traveled a good distance and probably won't see them again. A couple more were complete strangers, that haven't been heard from since. There's quite a few forum members from Bradenton / Sarasota area, but a lot haven't shown an intrest in any of or events. Some of us used to get together for lunch, but even that has seeme to have fallen away. Maybe we can get Thor to plan another lunch Cruise like the last.
The Hob Nob is where Rickey Joe stops in the afternoons for coffee. Tim and Bob drop by usually on a daily basis. I swing by on some Fridays or if I'm off work.
The guys in Tampa have a great place to meet, but unfortunately we just couldn't find the set up they have available to us here, that's why we tied in with Lances show.
And the rain hasn't helped.

Just a note to everyone. It is really up to you all to post events that you know about on the event calendar. I try to post some here and there when I find out about them, but there is just no way possible that I can keep up with them all. So if you know of an event, please post it there so everyone else can know about it as well.

My car will at their shop all next week.

Supercharger, stall converter, e-cutouts, gauges, servo kit, etc lol.
