I got a real good set of chips taken out of my hood surround on my '61 by rocks thrown up by a garbage truck. The Honduras maroon paint is several years old and I'm sure has faded some. The two spots are really bigger than I would want to 'touch up' with dabs of paint.

Is there anybody around the Central Florida area that can tackle this kind of repair.
 
Some of the better shops have an LRS system to match paint color (i read that somewhere). Your best bet is to do your homework. Ask questions and define a date for completion if you agree to a contract. Expect to pay for quality work, but don't overpay. Some bodyshops see an early Vette and hear "cha-ching".
