I just put a jeneric flowmaster on my C4. Now I have a horrible roar in side. I don't even want to drive it. Can anyone recommend a type or brand of muffler that will give some out side sound without the inside roar.
 
Corsa is one of the best at knocking down the resonance. I plan on getting magnaflows with mine, but it'll have some resonance at around 1600-2000rpm. Luckily the wife likes the noise too. Right now, I'm running muffler eliminators and have little resonance but there certainly is some. I've thought about ditching the resonator and replacing it with a better magnaflow dual in dual out muffler and see what happens.

If possible,
move your exhaust tips about 1 1/2 inch's past the bottom edge of the rear bumper!~! :thumbsup:
It will reduce the cockpit drone considerably!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
Nice tip

OK junk I think you have something there. I removed the resonator and have a very pleasant sound from the stock mufflers but I might try your idea to eliminate some of the resonance at road speed.
