C7 c7 arriving at dealerships with cracked tires

Yeah, I read about that, and figured not much reason to worry about tires GETTING damage while in Florida. But what about those tires manufactured and stored in colder temps? Do the tires have to actually be driven on when cold to cause the cracks?

Are those particular tires unique to the C7 Corvettes?

I'm guessing this is a pretty sharp blow to Michelin's reputation, regardless.....
 
Pretty much C7's only in regions below 20 degrees .Some are being delivered to the dealerships with cracks .I belong to a Canadian Corvette Forum and the Canadians are pizzed and I don't blame them .

I have Michelin AS RF's on my C6 and I went for breakfast Sunday and it was 14 degrees .My thought was I could beat the bikers out but I met a Harley on my way home Brrrrrrrrrrrrr
