During the course of my vette ownership I have purchased 2 car covers - both of which now reside at the county landfill. First, my cars are all garaged so my primary objective is DUST PROTECTION. Admittedly, both of these covers were of the cheaper variety purchased at local auto parts stores. I found that use of these covers left a scum like residue on the finish and windshield. This was probably from moisture or humidity trapped under the cover. Additionally, they left minor marks on the finish when the cover was installed and removed.
I suspect that a higher quality flannel cover may do the job without the above effects but I am reluctant to invest $200+ based on my past experiences. Has anyone out there had experience with the higher quality indoor covers?:banghead:
