Cigarette Lighter problem

Any of you C-5 owners ever had your cigarette lighter socket come out? I was pulling out my GPS unit and the whole socket came out!:ack2: It looks like it has threads on it and it just might screw back in. But before I stick my fingers in there to see how it gets power and I "get" the power; any help? :shrug01:
 
Hmm, I've had to take apart that section of the dash a few times when I was replacing shifters, but never had the lighter actually come out. Power is supplied to it by a slip on plug. I can't remember if power is hot to it even without the key in the ignition, so don't go sticking your finger in it..... :D

It's really not too difficult to take apart the console and the section of the dash. Look for instructions on how to replace the shifter and it will show you the steps.

DON'T stick your finger in there, How many other fingers could have been in there? :ack2:

Yes there is Power to the socket even with the key out.
