Deb and I are going to Daytona July 4,5,&6 for the races. :dancer01: Anyone else planning on being there? I don't know if there is a Corvette area but maybe we could meet up somewhere. We will arrive there midday on friday, putz around until the race that evening. We will be in the Fanzone area sometime on Saturday, but mostly just taking in the sights and sounds of NASCAR. :dancer01:

Let me know,
Joe B.

There is no Corvette parking that I know of.Unless your in to long ,long hikes plan to pay for parking.I've tryed to park at the Cracker Barrel by the speedway. There is free parking out in back of the speedway but i've never been able to get in.(full)

Should be a good race ,I can't make this one.

Joe, depending on your seats theres diff areas of parking. I used to do the pepsi 400 for about 10 yrs and the 500 the same seats in petty tower
If ur sitting frontstretch past start finish line, towards turn 1, i'd park at the dog track. sortest walk. If ur turn 4 to start/finish if u get there early theres a hotel, think the marriot right at turn 3/4. Think its Midway ave. This also takes u to parking behind the airport. Again get there early to park there. If on the backstretch parking is available behind the airport, with shuttles to track. Last yr parking was 60 for dogtrack or front of race track. 80 at hotel area. Dont remember cost out back as shuttles sometimes took hours to get u from point a to b. so stayed away from there
Pretty std over there. We used to get together with group and tailgate all day. Parked by 10-11am. Into track around 6pm. The later u get there the farther away u park. No special vette parking. First come first serve. Enjoy

the 1st 2 nights of qualifying, practice, you should be able to park out front of track, parking will only be an issue the day of the 400

Yes most places on 400 race day last yr were 50+ to park for the day. The dog track on the west side of the track was 60. And full by noon. U need passes to park on track grounds that day. Unless u have a handicap plate, then u can park at entrace to track

Or u park behind airport and take shuttles. Its free but can be a hr wait depending on time u use shuttle.

On Midway ave. I used to park at the hotel. again about 60 to park. But short distance to turn 4.
if ur going for all 3 days of racing. 1st night was free parking last yr. for the practice, busch qualifying and paul revere race,
2nd night was 30 to park in most places

Talk about "price gouging", but it's what the market will bear. I guess I will expect to pay for parking. Jeez, that is going to cut into my party funds. I guess we will be walking... :dancer01:

We did ok on the parking, parked at a bank lot 2 blocks up from I.S. Blvd, on Midway, $40. Being so close was a pain getting out, even an hour after the race.

Hey Joe,
By the way. traffic is a pia when leaving. LOL. Guess i forgot to mention that. Now i remember why we used to break the grill out again after the race and not get back to hotel til 2 or 3

We sat in the stands for a while after the race, then we had to return the "fanview" headsets and scanner, then wonder around for awhile... then walk back to the car... we ended up in traffic with the car haulers. Or at least Hendrick Motor Sports 5 semi's. We had a good time. I need to post some pics.
