corvette conversion

I know someone who owns a corvette convertible. He bought his corvette around the age of 54-55, after he'd finish raising his family. He is a Viet Nam vet. He received a back injury when his chopper went down in Viet Nam. The herniated disc he had cut into his spine. About a year ago he had to have an operation to remove all or part of his spine. It has left him unable to walk and in a wheel chair. His wheelchair will not fit in his car. Because of his condition he can't use a wheelchair that breaks down and then stows away. He's been told his only option is to buy a different vehicle, ex. a small truck. Does anyone know if there is someone out there that could somehow make his corvette handicap accessible? I've seen shows on TV that convert cars to all sorts of things, but I don't know if there is still one out there that does. Any ideas or suggestions?

There's a guy on Corvette Forum that goes by the screen name of "C6 Roller".

He uses hand controls. Has one heck of a drag racing C6 that runs 10's.

Not sure where he got the work done but he's in Florida.

This information came from a guy on DC. I posted there for you to hopefully get a better response.

Let me know if it works out for you and your friend?

Thanks

Gordon
