Always look forward to this event. So many beautiful vettes, and even for the non-owners, Venice is a great place to spend a weekend. Very laid back, good places to eat and shop and just an overall relaxing time.

Sad to see this is a Sunday show as it is difficult for me to come over from Ft. Lauderdale for a Sunday show. Good luck to the Venice Corvette Club.

VENICE FLORIDA CORVETTES CAR SHOW REGISTRANTS

TO ALL

We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel the Welcome Party portion of our show, scheduled for Saturday, March 20th. On Thursday, February 25th, the Holiday House, our host hotel, suffered fire damage to the restaurant and banquet portion of the hotel. The restaurant and Banquet facilities are in a separate building from the guest rooms. They have assured us the guest rooms where not effected and your reservations are intact. A refund check for the Welcome Party portion of your registration will be sent to you within a few days. The 6th Annual "Corvettes In Venice On The Isle" car show for Sunday is on!


The officers of Venice Florida Corvettes have spent many hours trying to salvage this event with no success. We have contacted many other facilities but could not replace what we had offered at this late date. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.



We would like to offer a token opportunity for a "meet and greet" to you. We have rented room 128 pool side, at the Holiday House, for this mini function. It will be very basic and complimentary to you. We will have snacks, pizza and A LOT of FELLOWSHIP available from 5 to 8pm Saturday the 20th. Bring your bag chairs and your beverage of choice and join us.



For your convenience there are several places to eat within walking distance from the hotel parking lot without crossing US41. The Crossroads, offers a full dining menu and bar, Dimitri's is a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, Pizza Hut and Burger King.

Famous last words.......... I didn't count on my car being tied up 4+ months for an engine build. I'm not expecting to get it back till maybe mid April... :nonod:
 
There is no car corral and "for sale" signs are prohibited in the car show area. However, if you choose not to enter the show you may park your car outside of Centennial Park and display a "for sale" sign. Please be aware that parking is limited to 2 hours on the streets and parking times are strictly enforced during season.
 
Could have been a really nice show if the weather had co-operated just a little. What a crappy day.:banghead:
