Hello Corvette Enthusiast,

Corvettes of Naples is putting together a line up of all year Corvettes, Coupes, Conv., Special Editions, Ann. Cars, Pace Cars, Collector Edition, for a special display on April 2nd 2011 at Estero Bay Chevrolet in Estero, Florida exit 128 off of I-75. The dealership is presently working on getting the Chevrolet Heritage Display for everyone to enjoy.

We are seeking cars for this event and they will be accepted on a 1st come 1st serve basis (cars should be in presentable condition for the display). All cars will need to be stock in appearance since we are trying to showcase the progression of Corvettes from 1953- to present. Estero Bay Chevrolet will have free food and drinks all day long for EVERYONE. We will also have a plaque made for each car that will be featured in this display. We will also have a windshield plagued on each of the cars depicting the year, model, style of each car. All these things will be for the owner of the car to keep. This will be a fun day event and there will be NO JUDGING. I know it is a long way off but please let me know if you can make it ASAP so I can get each model & year car accounted for. I'm figuring on about 150 cars for this display. If you don't have a car on display we would like to invite you to join us, have a good time and enjoy the food, cars, and the day's events.

If you are interested in having you car on display for this event please contact Glenn Hutchinson 239-772-0705 home or cell 239-910-2027 or e-mail me at n2vettes@earthlink.net

I have made special arrangements with the Hampton Inn Hotel located only about 100 yards from Estero Bay Chevrolet at a rate of only $89.00 a night (regularly $149.00 in season). To make reservations contact Eileen Crowley at 239-947-5566 and mention the Estero Bay Chevrolet Corvette Event to receive the special rates.

When responding to this e-mail please send me complete information about you and your car. Such as Your name, address, phone # e-mail address, complete description of your car, color / inside and out, color of top if conv. etc. Everything you can tell me will be helpful. I'm putting a page together for each person that responds to me so I can contact them about each car. Thank you for you help and understanding.

Sounds like fun. Are you going to take the Z16 or goldie?

The club has asked me to bring my '69 BB convertible. We have two Z16s in Corvettes of Naples, so my guess is that they will ask the other member to bring his Z16. But since I am not organizing this, it would be best to contact Glenn directly to see what vehicles he needs. This is a very difficult display to put together. My guess is that they won't get one of everything but will get close.

I just sent in my offer to display the '82...

sounds like a cool event...even if I'm not selected...still would be a great visit to view such vehicles!

Oh yea...Winterfest/Wonderful World of Corvettes/NCRS, in Orlando, over the 28-30 January weekend in Kissimmee...our '82 took a 3rd in the C3 class in Sunday's competition! :dancer01:

Congrats on the win. How are things at NASA?

Things here at NASA at gloomy...we just had the next round of layoff notices the week of the 1st of Feb. We're losing another 550 to 700 people this round by the 8th of April. In October of 2010, that layoff was over 1000! June of this year will be another layoff round...probably in the same neighborhood of another 500-700 souls. Seems every day that I do my inspections on the Shuttle, I meet numerous techs that got his/her notice...people I've worked with and have known for seven years. :nonod:

As of the 10th of March, Glenn still needed the following MY's of Corvettes:

1953, 1971, 1989, 1990 & 1997.

Our '82 will be in the display and I've made reservations at the hotel mentioned in Glenn's notice for Friday nite the 1st of April.

Please use the phone number and/or email from Glenn to volunteer your car...and be sure to check with him that one of the 5 years mentioned is still needed. Thanx!!
