My 2000 C5 left brake lamps are inoperative, of course the first course of action was to replace the bulbs, they looked good but I replaced all 4 tail/brake bulbs--- still no left brake lights. Tested the turn signals since they use the same bulb filiment and they work properly, checked the hazard lights and only the right side works----- Could the problem lie within the hazard switch? :banghead:

Most times we have traced it to just what your thinking, the hazard switch (it can be disasembeled and the contacts cleaned but it's not that easy.)

Otherwise the multifunction switch (blinker assy).

Press the hazard of and on a million times and it may start working....same with the blinker switch.

Thanks Rev, I'll try that first (pounding the hazard switch). All other functions are working properly. Over the years I've seen the brake lights or the turn signal curcits going thru the hazard switch but not spit to sides on the brake lights.
