Engine is in the car (LS swap)

HUGE thanks to Greg at Anti-Venom for putting my LS together for me. I picked it up Wed. and messed with it all night I put it in and out about 8 times before coming up with a combo that would allow the chains to clear the firewall. Then I was sure it would go in the motor mounts wouldn't go down into the frame mounts. I pulled it back out and quit for the night. While laying in bed that night I figured out the problem and ran out to the garage to confirm. I had the motor plates on upside down thus making the mounts upside down.
I couldn't work on it Thurs. night so tonight I went out there and it dropped right in...funny. stupid motor mounts:banghead:
I removed the wiper motor on Wed, because I cracked the housing and no way it goes back in with the motor in there so the motor has to come back out but it needed to anyway to repair the damage from Wed.:D I'm pretty excited. Once my torque converter arrives The engine and trans will go in for good...or untill I want to change heads.

Mr. AV is the MAN. If you every watch him build or assemble anything, he's like a surgeon and very meticulous. He removes gasket material from heads by hand with cleaner and a brush, not with power tools. Only shop that I trusted to work on my LS3.

I just think that it is so great you showed up when you did with almost the same project going on at home, he now has you to discuss these things..lol BTW that part he ordered was perfect, he wont stop raving about it.

_sorry I havent been posting much guys, my mother has been really sick

Glad the part worked out for him. Also really cool of him to offer to come to the house to help me with some fitment issues. First class.

It's been awhile since I updated this, I've been busy waiting on parts and working on it when the parts are here. I now have to engine and trans in with the C-beam modded to work with it (I had to enlongate the holes) Shifter, headers and most of the wiring harness are installed. I ran into a small issue with the fuel lines but Greg at AntiVenom is hooking me up with a dual feed fuel rail so I have to remove what I have and reinstall all of that again. I just got my trans lines made up and my old harness cut down to what I think I'm going to need. It's getting close, hopefully it will run someday.:D
Here's the harness I just finished up last night.
This is the old harness when I took it from the car:

Here it is all cut and reloomed.

And here is the mess of extras I hope I won't need.:crazy03:

Here is a pic of how it sits now, getting close:

looks good , and its great to see guys thinking about engine swaps and doing things that are not just cookie cutter duplication build where you just throw a few parts on what is basically the stock engine.
Its always nice to see a true hot rodder at work

I picked up my dual feed fuel rail yesterday so I got out there today and swapped it onto the motor. I was then able to set my coilpacks. As it turns out the dual feed rail interferes with the coilpacks so I made some brackets that bolted to the valvecover then the coilpack bracket bolted to them. I got my alt too so all that is done now.
ON the pass. side somehow the coilpack brackets bolted right on no problem but I have all my wiring on that side so while it's busy looking it's all clean and routed well. I still have to make a bracket to bolt the fuse box too, mount the computer, get my throttle body and work out my upper rad. hose and air intake. It's getting close.
Oh yea, the stock L-98 rad. hose with a cut in the right place works perfectly for the LS.
