Gatornationals...

fuzzy dice

New member
Three of us go to the Gatornationals every year...we're all vette guys and we are going this year on Friday, March 16...we had reserved seats in the past but this year they have changed things a bit...from the 1/8 mile to the traps, the pit side seating is all general admission...less expensive and sit wherever you care to...

I propose a meet and greet at the Gators for any and all who attend...I'm thinking 12 Noon in front of Greg Anderson's pit area...we can then hang out together or even sit together in the stands for anyone who'd like to...

Y'all can set up a meeting point for a caravan but I will be meeting up with my buddies and going up the back way in one guys truck...

Here is the schedule (subject-to-change ) for Friday at the Gators:

FRIDAY, March 16, 2007
Spectator Gates Open 7:00 AM
Final Registration and Tech Inspection (Pro's, TAD/TAFC) 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Pro Stock Qualifying Session (PS Motorcycle / PS Car) 2:30 PM

Since the door-slammers will be makeing their initial runs at noon, I'd suggest meeting-up sooner in the morning (maybe 10:30 AM, giving yourselves plenty of time to peruse the pits ), or after the 1st Session is complete, probably about 1:30 Pm, before the 2nd session.

BERNADETTE is off that Saturday & Sunday, and she is 'trying' to swap her schedule so we can meet-up on Friday instead:
having never been to Gainesville Raceway, can anybody provide a physical address of the track, so I can MapQuest it?

Thanks-in-advance!!!!!

I'm a pro stock kinda guy so I'm cool with before or after...we usually get there around 10:30 or so...I will see if I can get you the address fo the track...

After struggling the last 2 weeks, first at Vegas, and at Phoenix this past-weekend, Kenny Bernstein finally got his F/C license up-dated for next weeks Winternationals @ Pomona:
his new MONSTER -backed Dodge had been 'going-bowling' (knocking-over the center-cones ) on almost every run, but today, he made the runs needed to compete in the season-opener.

10 Fuel car teams are back in Vegas this weekend for the 'Last-Chance' test-sessions, including all 4 Kalitta Flying Service cars, and several other P/S and Alcohol cars.

Oh, so you are gonna go big dog on us peons, huh?...I'll look for you on the roof and wave at you from the cheap seats...:wavey: :D
Nah...that is for if I hit the lottery. I will buy the suite and we can all be big-shots. Unless that happens, I will be in the cheap seats also. :thinkin:

I resemble that remark!...you are now on the Big Boy chair ban for 10 days...

Oh well, I guess I'm not in the big chair either, but I've always been a "cheap" kind of guy anyway.
I've ALWAYS been in the cheap seats. I'm not even in the 'reserved special' seat up near the starting line they have now.
That's why I LOVE Fridays! It's cheaper and less reserved sections.
Hey Dice, are you going to go up earlier and race that black boy of yours?:yesnod: Glenn

Nah...I did just race it up in Richmond, Va. though... went four rounds and made some money but that was some haul...11.5 hours each way and I drove it up and back on DR's...I know, I have done lost my mind...

Hey Dice,
Glad to see you still are enjoying your Black Beauty.
11.5 hours EACH way is quite a haul just for four rounds of racing, but least you had fun while there and your Vette will drive that far. I'm envious!
As for the DR's, NAH, it's no big deal UNLESS you hit rain just before you hit the underpass! Hope to see you at the Gators later this month. Glenn
