Gettin' 'em re chromed

How are you planning to remove the old chrome? I've got a set of chromed wheels that got really screwed up while they were at South Georgia Corvette (him leaving the car outside for most of the entire year it was out there sure didn't help) that I want to have the chrome removed, and so far I gave been unsuccessful finding either a reasonable way to do it in house, or a place locally that could do it for me.

So if you come up with any good ideas, I'd like to hear about them.

==> Ahhhhh!!! Now I see why you guys said what you said. From what I wrote it sounds like I am doing the chroming, ah, okay, then.

I know of a plating shop that comes highly recommended so I'm just going to bring them there tomorrow and have them strip them and do their thing. I'll know the turn around time then. I'm in no rush.

Let me know how that works out and if you think to ask, can you ask them if they can do wheels? I just want them stripped to the aluminum.
