Good decision or not?

OK, who else is a little pissed off at the Colts head coach? I know you've got to look at the big picture and make it into the playoffs but DAMN! I really wanted them to have an undefeated season, and I'm not even from Indianapolis. I could have punched him when he pulled Manning and most of his starters out to "rest" them.:banghead:

Definitely a point but remember New England?

Would you like an undefeated season or a super bowl?

The Colts look real good to be a winner next month but being undefeated might be a distraction?

I'm definitley pulling for the Colts.

Cheers

Kind of a reflection on society. There was no monetary benefit for them to win the game, so why try so hard?

I have to try my hardest at work every day--whether or not I'm necessarily getting paid for the exact thing I'm doing or not. Sports, big business, etc seems to be all about profit--not morals, values, or ethics.

I hope it comes back to bite them in the ass. It has to affect the players mentally. Peyton Manning did not look happy at the end of the game.

Well, the fans definitely didn't agree with the decision. The colts might be the only 14-0 team to get booed at home. I really felt sorry for Curtis Painter, Mannings relief QB. His first 7 plays = 0 yards. Poor guy got booed on and off the field.:nonod:

I understand why the decision was made ,I really do.But if it was my decision Ida played to win.Keep in mind I've never been accused me of being a genius.:D

What about NE? (Mind you I personally can't stand the Patriots). They had an undefeated year and lost the very last game of the year. I don't think that going for the gusto to join the '72 Dolphins hurt NE at all. They just happened to loose the wrong game (a VERY close game at that). Loosing one game in the regular season doesn't guarantee you that the "one loss" is out of the way now and the rest will be smooth sailing. I think the Indy players will have to fight off some doubt, anger, and a little bit of rust to get back into the razor sharp performance they had going so far. As a Dolphins fan from way back I was gald to see Indy leave the 14-0 column, but I do think it happened the wrong way. They should have kept their momentum going and tried for the record books.

Why can't you have both? '72 Dolphins got it! And NE came DARN CLOSE (within minutes).

.... to the Indy coach's decision

.

All good points. My personal opinion is, you play every game like it's the biggest game of the year. That way, hopefully, you carry that momentum into the post season. Don't go all out for 14 games and suddenly slack off to rest. Anyway, I'm looking forward to next week and the playoffs. Should be interesting.
