SUX.........
I just found out that my younger brother (59) passed away yesterday after
routine surgery on his ankle. If any of you have an extra prayer or two, say one
for James Edward Anderson and his family, and maybe one for my brother Bill
and me too. I'll be heading out for Slidell, LA as soon as I find out what the
funeral arrangements will be.
Andy :( (no wavey this time guys.....)

Damn, Andy.... Who would have thought something like that would happen from ankle surgery? Man, that really would shock the hell out of me as well....

Sorry to hear this.......

Was off the net all day and just saw this:(

Andy, my friend.

Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your entire family brother.
So very sorry for your loss.

Let me know if we can do anything?

Thanks for the kind words guys.......they mean a lot to all of us.
My nephew told me that my brother went in for routine surgery on his ankle. He had ankle problems with one ankle for years. His foot would start to turn under to the point where he would be walking on just the outside part of the foot. Wore out that shoe quickly. Anyway, he had it worked on a couple of times by surgery, and I expect that this was another one of those "repair jobs". My nephew said that he got thru the surgery OK, and was in the recovery room coming out from the anesthesia, when he started to complain about chest pains. He died before they knew what they were up against. His wishes were to be creamated, but the coroner won't release the body until an autopsy is done to find out the cause of death. He did have Parkinson's and maybe that played a part in it, but I don't know. He had worked for NASA long enough to have put in 30 years with them and retired a few years ago, so at least he had a few years to relax and enjoy himself. He was only 59.............would have been the big SIX-OH on June 22. I'll be going to Slidell, LA for the services as soon as I find out when they are. My nephew is going to try to have the service next Friday, the 12th, but nothing can be finalized until the coroner releases the body. 59 is W-A-Y to young............. I'm just very relieved that Mom and Dad went before he did. I wouldn't say that he was my Mother's favorite, but we all knew that she had a special place in her heart for him, and this WOULD have killed her. Anyway, more info as I find out.......
In case anyone is interested, it's snowing AGAIN. That sux too!

Andy, I've been off the net for a couple days and just saw this. My thoughts and prayers are sent your way. 59 is way too young. We hope to see you later this month if you are still coming to Florida.

Thanks for all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. They TRULY mean a lot! My nephew told me that the autopsy found a major artery that was 95% blocked, and that's what got him. With the Parkinson's and the ankle problem, he wasn't very mobile and didn't exercise enough to feel any chest pains. My nephew said that it would have happened sometime soon even if he hadn't gone in for the operation. Chalk another one up to "heart attack"................
Andy (RIP Bro........:()
