Anyone tryed the basic $300 TomTom navagation system ? I'm a very simple guy and intend to stay that way. I believe all this stuff gets outdated before you hardly get to figure em out.

I bought the Garmin 430 just before the Ponta Gorda Show. I elected the 430 over the 330 because it speaks the name of the street rather than just saying turn left, it will say Turn left on Pace Street NW. I found it very helpful when I was going back and forth to the hotel. I used it find restaurants and even the different auto parts stores. I really like it.

Thanks,But is it simple enough for an old man with a low IQ ?:)

I got a Magellan 3000 about 3 weeks ago, and I'm sold on it (and GPS's in general) completely. I guess that there is a learning curve with all of them, but this one didn't seem to be all that difficult.

Actually if you already have a laptop computer, you can simply buy a copy of DeLorme Street Atlas along with a GPS antenna that plugs into a USB port. Pretty handy to have on trips.....

I have two Garmin units...one 330 and one Nuvi 350....both these products work great and I would recommend them to anyone interested in a GPS.

I can't believe my eyes... Grown men asking for directions !!! Whats next? Washing dishes, doing the laundry ??? And you Corvette Concepts, you need
TWO direction finders ? You can't find your way with just one, you need a backup ?

Jeeesh;) :crazy03:

Actually that would make one hell of a sales slogan for a GPS.

Having a GPS means never having to be unmanly and ask for directions.

:lmao: :lmao:

After doing research for week I was surprised to find that some can be obtained with a nagging voice that mimics my wife.

Country Boy

Our Corvette Concepts shop is 13 Miles East of 75 off of Exit 210...a nice country drive. We're located on a five acre Ranch named the Corvette Ranch. We have a couple of horses, a good size cat and a small Jack Russell Terrier named Sadie who will keep you occupied while you watch your Corvette being worked on. We have seating right in the shop area so you can watch the transformation of your baby. Most think the drive is worth the effort. Standing around a greasy strip plaza isn't nearly as much fun as enjoying the panoramic views of the Corvette Ranch. We have cars come in from not only the entire State, but just about everywhere in the country. We have cars from Washington State to Maine...even many Canadian cars and we even have cars in Hawaii, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, Germany , England,. etc. We've been specializing in C5 and now C6 Corvettes for ten years and our shop is well known for doing quality work. There are only two of us, myself and my son, Brian. With the help of two assistants we can get your Corvette in and out usually in one day while you sit and enjoy a complimentary beverage and snacks. Give us a try and I think you'll enjoy your visit. :wavey:
