Hi! had a right side turnsignal lite blowup. While pulling out what was left it sparked and now the headlight doors will not close and the dash lites dont work. The dash lites do come on when I first enter the car and when I shut off the car/ Any help will be appreciated:dancer01:

Hi!! Thanks, I did check some of the fuses but all that I checked were ok. Can you tell me which fuses I should check?? The Vette is a 2000 C5 coupe. Thanks

It's probly gonna be a little more complicated than that!:thumbsup:

First pull the codes and post them and lets try to see whats shak'n:thumbsup: (ALL Codes History and Currant!)

Don't Reset the Codes!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Turn the key to the ON position, but don't start the engine. Clear any present messages by pressing the RESET button. Hold the OPTIONS button down, and press the FUEL button 4 times. This will get you into the CODES section of the DIC. The computer will automatically display all the codes your car has created. It will cycle through each code every 3 seconds. Any code that ends in H is a history code (something that has occured in the past) but is fine now. Once the computer has finished going through all of it's codes, press RESET to enter Manual Configuration mode. It should start with a module and show "NO CODES" or "# CODES".

To optionally reset the codes once in manual mode, press and hold RESET until it displays "NO CODES". Press OPTIONS to go to the next module. Repeat the steps in this paragraph until you have reset the codes in all the computer modules. NOTE !! Only reset the codes IF you want to - it is NOT necessary to do this.

I checked DIC and found these codes under B0RF: U1096 H, U1064 H , U1016 H
10PCM: P1631 H
40 BCM: B2723 H
60 IPC : U1160 H
Thanks ,Phil

Loss of communication problems are often related to high resistance or non-existent grounds!!:thumbsup:

Top 2 codes have to do with security system Non communication the last has to do with power to the dash,My guess is you have bad connections in grounding or B+ in the power distribution center!! Inspect and Clean ALL Grounds,Inspect and Clean ALL Battery connections on Battery and Power Distribution Center!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

PS If cleaning connections don't fix the problem,Head lamp Module is probly defective!:banghead:
