Hope all is well for everyone.
I drop by so often to check on the club member's.............well Ok, I drop by to see if Blondie, has been up to anything new so to speak, I mean peak.
Congradulations to SKULLY HA? Big hand for the man.
Any of our member's been doing the DuPont car's and Cafe thing?
I do it about every month, it's kinda cool seeing what's up in Exotic car world, and believe me, they do show up for the car's N cafe thing.

Did a concours with the local Corvette club here out my back door of Heathrow, at Colonial town, by the corvette club of Florida, adn again the judging was as terrible as it was the last time.
Someone explain to me how a corvette being judged, without it's owner's present to present the car to the judges for judging, win's a first place?
Or how there can be a tie for firdt and only one get's the trophy?
Last year Skully's 66 stingray had points deducted for his teak wheel. When he questioned the judge, he was told 66 didn't have Teak wheels.

Anyway, I pass this along for what it's worth.:lmao:

Good to hear from you.

Judges? Judging?

No thanks:NoNo:

most are either too fickle or too anal for me:D

I'd rather just go, look at the different styles and ideas people have, enjoy some food and drink with some friends and forget about the trophies...then again, I'm not a concours guy:D

Welcome back:wavey:

Heck, I stopped worrying about winning prizes at shows a while ago. Matter of fact, Connie and I went to a small show where there were giving out 40 awards. When they said that, I started counting cars and came up with 50. I laughed my ass off that I was one of the 10 that did NOT get any award that day.... :lmao:

So my streak is unbroken..... :hehehe:

That would have to be the Kick in the butt I really need for sure.
I guess in my case. it was the insult of the car parked next to us with no owner winning his class. In fact he'd later told wife and I this was the first time he'd ever showed a car. So they left for lunch, got back and was handed a trophy. LOL

Pick a nice place to go for the day. Cruise to the venue (top down optional) and renew with old friends and meet new ones. If you leave with an award frosting on the cake, if not, enjoy the cruise home then pick a new nice place to cruise to. :vette:
