A couple of us are meeting at SR64 and I-75 at 6:30 AM to caravan over on Sunday morning. There is a Wendys on 64 west of 75 that we are meeting at.

6:30 am? wholy crap. Probably won't make that, but I may shoot for it. Caravaning is always fun.

Racing starts at 8 and the Historic Stock cars run at 9:00 AM. We wanted to see the stock cars so no sleeping in on Sunday.

Ain't that the truth! Well I'll have to leave my friends place by 5:30am...I think we may try to make it though. Gotta make sure will call will be open for our media passes too...

Ya'll going to do the track tour? It's great but get in line in the paddock early. The further in front of the line the better. Last year I was right behind the pace car...it was great. Had a nice Ferrari 307 tailing me...except through the corners. :dancer01:

Hope to see ya there! Later, Eric

So with the track touring ($30) option how fast do they let you go?

As part of the corvette corral on Sunday we will get a lap which I assume will be paced, like at the St. Pete GP. If there is no difference as far as speed I'll just stick with the corvette corral lap(s)

Thanks,

Yeah, you don't go fast. If you can get in the very front you get to go the fastest. I never broke 60 on the straightaways, but actually hit almost 70 through a few corners after the hairpin. Turn 10 was pretty fun too. The corvette coral goes pretty slow but it's still great getting to actually be on the track.

Pretty much how ST. Pete was last year. We would hold up a little then hit it coming out of the turns. They were pretty clear that if anyone went crazy, all of the corvette corral participants would be removed from the track. I think we went 3 laps.

well we aren't going to leave St. Pete till 7:30, so I'll have to catch ya'll on the flip side. Will certainly try to take some picks of the corvette cruise...

I called over and they said the corvette corral will be in the same location as it is for the 12 hour race "Near the main entrance". See you there:thumbsup:
