C5 hvac box replacement

The part of the instructions that says to build a tool to unlock the hazard harness really 8 sent needed. You can unplug it further down towards the steering column.

well good news is i don't have to replace the hvac box. bad news is i spent all that time tearing the dash apart to find out it's not the actuator or box. i held the blend door shut and was still blowing warmer on the driver side.

freon was low. now after all my reading, when freon is low the passenger side goes warm, not the driver side. added more freon and got cold. bad news is the compressor is on the way out.
 
Ugh... I haven't had to tackle taking the dash apart yet, and really hope I don't need to. Looks like a pain in the butt to do.

Heck, thinking about it, getting to my AC compressor is going to be a pain in the butt too............ :banghead:
