Been waiting 8 days for my car to come. At 8pm i called, sales manager says "HEY!! im looking at your car right now!", jump out of my chair, " but the keyfob is locked inside", *falls to the ground*. I was literally shitting bricks. So they said theyre gonna try to figure out a way to unlock the car to get it off the transport truck and call me back. Called a buddy of mine and he told me to callem back and mention onstar to unlock. Called the sales manager back, toldem about onstar, said great idea. Called onstar and onstar told them since its not activated they wont pop the lock. So now i have to wait another day for a specialty tech to come out and open the freakin doors. Ive never gone so crazy over a freakin car like this, its killing me. Now i gotta pray to god i can get some boltons done before the weekend.
 
It will be all worth it once you finally get it & get it all done.:thumbsup: JP is scrambling to get everything ready.
 
yeah i talked to him tonight, have to hold off on the cam/converter till next week. which is fine with me. i just wanted to ride around in the stock car, so i know what kinda difference ill notice lol.
 
Sorry to hear about your not getting your car today. What's the big hurry with the mods? I would suggest driving stock for at least a couple of weeks so you can really firm in your mind and priortize what you want first, second. third. etc. and then try each mod and see how you like it. Just my humble .02 worth. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing your new wheels. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
Ive always wanted a full exhaust no matter what car. And the intake mani/tb combo+cai will do me for those few weeks. Ill need to recoup my funds for the cam/converter setup. Still need tint, wheels, tail light black out kit. then when the cam/converter are in, im fully done modding the car.
 
Just remember that you aren't supposed to drive the car more than 55 mph for the first 500 miles in order to properly break in the engine..... :NoNo:
 
i prolly put 500 miles on this weekend alone. gotta drive to polk county, then around town, then drive back home.
 
Is this a GM dealer?? If so they can make a key!!!! Hell I've locked keys in cars before in my shop,go down to the GM dealer with my paperwork and the parts man go's into the computer finds out the key #'s and cuts me a key!! takes about 15 minuets!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

The onstar doesnt have to be activated to do it. the dealer just has to give his BAC # and they would have opened it. I use to show customers how onstar worked with a new car before it was activated. They just wont do it unless you know the correct process

Dont forget about varying your speed for the frist 500 too!

It gets activated as soon as the dealer punches the car as sold. you unfortunatly dont have a choice. even if you ask the dealer not to activate, that still do it. I found that out the hard way.. I had a customer ask me not to activate it for him cause he doesnt want to be on the "grid" (hes very paranoid..lol). so I promised him that I wouldnt.
He comes in a month later for service on his DD and starts telling me this story how he is driving down the road and some one starts talking to him out of the blue.. he said he jumped out of his seat! thats when I gound out that it gets activated no matter what.

I had the same thing happen to me, but I had my Ipod with my head phones going in my CTS. I was singing my heart out at the top of my lungs for like 5 minutes before i realized i had an audience with the onstar guy...lol I felt like the biggest nerd..

Atleast I wasnt singing anything like brittney spears or something along those lines.. I would have driven off an embankment if that were the case and just ended it for myself. :brick2:
 
To add to the frustration...

I got my car last night. But have to bring it back. the fuckin grease monkies decided to pop the glass top off to get into the car(instead of calling chevy to have a key made), ended up scratching the lexan top and tearing paint off the rear pillar by the window.

so now i have to bring it back next week to have their shop repair it, kinda lame cause i dont wanna drive up their again :ack2:

And because of file work i didnt even get to leave till 830, missed a call from revxtreme(sorry ill call in the morning), so now my mods have to get pushed back.



On the flip side. since im driving it stock, omfg this car is a brute. have yet to take tc off, but find no need to lol. already dealt with one chick saying her dads car can whoop mine..out of curiosity i asked what he drove (figured an old built monster v8), she said its a civic with a turbo K20 swap, i damn near shit my pants and pissed myself laughing. i asked one question...whose do you think holds more value, and typical dumb ass blonde, so his is faster.

But to revxtreme 1, really sorry bout tonight, ill call jp in the morning an figure something out.

We had a lady pull up her, left her car running with the keys locked in, Greg had it right open, but it was a C5, She was brunette:-p
 
I would have been pissed! what are you going to do though? you still got your car. What I would do is have a local dealer do it and have them billed instead of having to drive all the way up there again, just to drop off your car and wait a week for them to finish it. that or find a really good body shop to do the paint work.
What color did you get?

Im not saying ALL blondes are dumber, but the ones that are...this girl sat in the same boat as them.

We tried asking them if we could take it to the local chevy dealer(im like 5 blocks down the road from cox chevy in bradenton), but they wont reimburse. so im bringin the car back next week after xmas, and theyre gonna replace the top and fix the paint. they told me they can have it done in one day. and wednesday, was the day they have their people come in and do repairs.

got the car tinted this morning, and now it sits at revxtremes shop. hopefully pickin it up on friday.

The paint scape isnt that bad. They said if its longer then the day theylll give me a free rental car. i could have done it with touchup paint and some sand paper, but ill let them do it so its free. Im mainly concerned about the targa top crack. hope they enjoy spending about 800 bucks for a new top.(according to chevy)
 
Rascelle is not the stereotypical "dumb blond".....she can wrench with the best, just never have seen her drive.:D

We all know to respect the occasional Supra, WRX, skyline, Honda, etc. that really CAN do more than make noise & sport a big wing.:thumbsup:

Excuse me,But is this the same Dealer that was to tight to send a man down to the Chevy dealer and spend $20.00 to have a key made??? But they can have a couple of there Goons scratch it up,Crack the top and do a $1000. damage to it!!!:lmao::lmao: I'm sure you well get a Real Quality Job!!!!:lmao::lmao:
 
When i get the car back friday, ill take before pics, then after pics. they assured me and i have it in writing, itll look exactly like a factory rolled out car again so.
