Joey D's & Love Make the Night

For me Saturday turned out to be Hell. Started work at 5:00 AM so I could get out by noon to prep for Glenn's arrival and the show. As it turned out Glenn & Blue arrived early and made an appearance at a Benefit Car Show for the Red Cross in Bradenton. Here Tim and Rickey Joe hijacked them and shot over to the boiler Room for lunch. Now I was told they would be there around 1:45 so Vicki and I arrived at 1:50 and they were leaving. I thought Tim told me what time to meet them them for lunch, but I guess he meant what time they would be through :shrug01:

Pretty good turn out and I've never seen so many people walking around the Vette area. It must of been to gaze at the Birthday Balloons my daughter & son-in-law put in my car.
Joe, Deb and Joey made it along with a couple of folks from Corvette Forum.

Of course all the Vettes , except Vicki and Me, either won a trophy or a fabulous :rofl1: door prize, ay Joe

Sorry if I forgot anyone
I want to thanks all who made it, A great time , some real good food and beverages. Did Rickey Joe ever get the ice? It turned out to be a real nice birthday, although Tim didn't find out until to late.

I especially want to thank Mr Glenn Smith for bringing Love is Blue over from the East Coast, so I would have a chance, along with everyone in Bradenton, to see this Fab Car before it's gone. Again :thankyou2:
Great Cars Great People

Thank You Rick!!

It's me that should be thanking you, Rick, for the great welcome and how you made me feel so special.
I was really excited to find there was a benefit show up the road earlier that day for the benefit of the Red Cross. With all they do, I just had to make the effort to go by and make a donation, even though I got there too late to officially enter the show! (Rick, now you know where it went! You know what I'm talking about, and thanks. Like I said, I'd be there for you when I could, no matter what.)
A little hurricane couldn't keep me from making the effort, and the great people at Joey D's made me feel like I had known them for years. Tim and his wife kind of took me under their wing until C-5 Rick showed up, and listening to both Tim with his Dutch accent & his wife, Deb, from Scotland, talk was a riot.:rofl1:
And what can I say about Joe and his custom! I felt honored to be included in their clubs parking area.
Thanks Rick for all the effort you put out for the forum members & your friends.
The show was wonderful...till we blew the lights out at the end of the show!! Lance dove for cover when the transformer blew...that was funny :lmao:

This is as close as I got to rain the entire time as I headed back to Daytona Beach on Tuesday. That's heavy rain falling under those dark thunder storm clouds in Branson, FL ...lucky me it just missed as I ran east away from it!

See ya all later, and thanks to my new All Florida Vette Forum friends on the west coast!:wavey: Glenn

Glenn, Vicki and I are honored to meet you and getting able to see Blue. I was glad you were able to get the trip in before the sale is finalized. It was great watching all the people taking pictures of Blue and just staring at the car.
Wish we could have gotten more forum members there, but hey Joe &Deb made it.
Again thanks making my birthday a memorable one!
I don't care what Tim says, my ballon didn't cause the transformer to blow :lmao:
Glenn, more pics here for ya to look at:

Hey Rick, where would we have parked anymore forum members anyway, the lot was full and Vettes were parked in the isles?
Oh, by the way, the power people pulled mylar out of the transformer and they said it had "Happy Bi..." or something like that on it!!:shrug01:
