Just wanted to let all my friends here know what's going on with ol' "LOVE":
I had Tom DeWitt take a look @ my Be Cool twin custom radiators and he found what may have been my overheating problem this past year or so.
It turns out in my attempt to keep the water from being pushed out as the car heated up, (by increasing cap pressures) that I caused the fins to 'balloon' from the internal pressure as the water heated up (insuffecient expansion room-overfilled). This blocked the AIR from passing thru them and thus it just got hotter and hotter as I drove no matter how many fans I installed to pass the air.
The radiators have been replaced by Tom now, and look beautiful. "Thanks, Tom!"
I also modified my aluminum fuel cell to allow more air up under the radiators as well as built a new bottom P/U sump w/AN-10 fittings and a new Aeromotive A-1000 electric fuel pump (P/N AEI-11101), filter & -10 lines.
I've just about finished the fiberglass mods needed to reinstall all of these changes. Now I have to paint it again inside and hope to be back on the road by the beginning of next month if the money doesn't run out before then. Mama keeps a tight purse string these days on me!
Hope to see you guys again at an upcoming event soon!
Here are some photo of the mods:
