• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Lets thank those WWII troops!

Today is the 64th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion into France. This day was the start of the end for Gemany's occupation of the European theater.

Good bless all the troops, but today especially the WWII troops that went around the world in a time when people rarely left their own state to defend our freedom!

I agree, God Bless them all, but especially the WWII soldiers. If any of you are interested, go to this website. It's about the invasion of Attu, the only time that the U.S. was actually invaded by foreign troops during WWII. The DVD is available for purchase.

My Uncle, Bill Jones, narrarates the film, and was one of the survivors of the battle (and several others throughout the Pacific). It brings to light one of the forgotten battles of WWII. Our WWII vets are dying off at the rate of 1500 per day. Thank one while you still can!

They are almost all gone! my pawpaw left us a few years ago, he was in his 80s, when my kids are my age they wont know any ww2 vettes:(

Not to take away from the significance of this thread, but up until the 50's, the U.S. defended the world from tyrants. Now we struggle against a group of terrorists
Yes remember when ... and then thank a Vet today and every day.

I sure wish the country still had the INTELLIGENT direction and motivation that those awesome Americans gave so totally and so fiercely on D-day
