I urge everyone to when renewing your drivers licence please indicate you'll be an organ donor.Ever person no matter how old has something to offer .

SECOND AND IMPORTANT .are you or a member of your family a diabetic ? There is a procedure called ISLET transplant used in Canada .It is being used as SOP for type 1 and 2 even for long time users of insulin .Procedure is done only in a few US hospitals as experimental .

My whole family are organ donors. Didn't know about the diabetes info though. But as of now have no issues with that. I'll pass it on to those who may need it though.

Ya know ya get points when you get to the pearly gates and in my case I need to make up a lot of ground :D

Last year I did a family vacation to Alaska .My 14 year old grandson came to me with some urgency and wanted to ask me something in private. The question was "Uncle Jack is blind right ?" Yes he is Matty " Then why does he take photos with a camera ? Easy,he believes he will see again and wants to know where he's been .Jack needs more than an eye transplant but someday he will see .

Some states want to make organ harvesting law and I disagree .Organ donation should be wide spread and a gift from the heart .

Good statistics 66 .I'm type 2 and I'm slowly loosing the battle and it is a battle .I watch by diet ,weight is not an issue plus I get to much exercise .With very little effort I can loose a pound a day .In my case it leads back to drinking to much agent orange .

In a lot of cases I see people who are obese with insulin pumps and others missing feet ,legs and eyes .The old sayin God helps those who help themselves and I believe in self help .

Yes 66 the donor bank could even use your wrinkled azz :thumbsup:After all I'm donating my 36 inch penis .

Go ahead make fun of my manhood .I've actually willed it to a transgender lesbian from Salt Lake city.I was also a hit at fantasy fest last year but I disguised " it" using body paint (Golf club )

OMG!!!! I needed that humor :rofl1::rofl1:

Thanks

PS - Type 2 here, 68 years old, on insulin since '93. I had the same problem with weight loss and my Doctor changed my insulin from Humilin to Lantus about 4 years ago. So far so good. Not saying it's a cure but maybe worth asking about.
