Looking for any ideas on a home made case for a spare Targa Top

Can't see spending the crazy bucks on a fancy-ass case for my spare targa top, so since I got some time on my hands, I figure I would try and make one myself.

Has anyone tried doing this, and if/so, what material is out there that is best suited for this? I have some in mind, but I was curious if someone may have already attempted doing something similar? I plan to use a vinyl but haven't been able to find any with a soft enough inside, and I don't want to double up layers to accomplish this.

If it comes out good I'll post some pictures of it- if it doesn't, then this is the last you'll hear about my little endeavor. :thumbsup:
 
My wife made vinyl bags for the T-Tops when we had a C-3.

She just bought the vinyl at a fabric shop. It had a soft flannel backing that protected the finish. She doubled up the same stuff and sewed handles on it so they were easy to pick up and move around.
