Well...sort of...
I picked up another set of 315's from Andre's shop the other day, but have been having trouble getting with the folks next door to get them installed.
Today, I've been ripping all over Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties trying to tie up some loose ends before we leave on Monday...
This afternoon, I'm leaving McDill AFB headed North on Dale Mabry, when some knucklehead in a POS ricer, pulls out of an east side street, across all southbound lanes of Dale Mabry and directly in front on my C4!
I'f I'd been in the truck, I'd have gladly squashed him like a bug! (they don't call it a "crusher" for nothing
). The guy was obviously trashed...weaving across all northbound lanes at all of 20 MPH....
Anyway, he was literally just a car length or so ahead of me when he pulled this head up ass manuever. I hit the brakes (Hard) just short of lock up (ABS is out
), and swerved the car hard. Missed him by inches
Going back to comment on tires...the left rear 315 is pretty bad, thus the recent purchase. Whe I braked and swerved as hard as I did, it apparently allowed the rim to dig into the tire and BANG!!!! Thar she blows matey!!!
Luckily I wasn't going all that fast and was BELTED IN (because everything that wasn't got tossed!)
Onto the AAA Flatbed and sitting at Andre's now. In the morning bright and early, a new set of 315's, an oil change, fender realignment and a look at the slight overheating problem and we're off for St. Augustine on Monday:thumbsup:
Almost had to make this one in the VOLVO
:rofl1:
