KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville man recently celebrated a big birthday.
Jack McVay turned 94-years-old Monday. He celebrated his birthday with a trip to the Adair County Family YMCA.
It’s a trip he makes nearly every day. McVay is a regular YMCA patron, who has worked out six days a week for about the last six years. YMCA staff helped McVay celebrate Monday by decorating his favorite treadmill with balloons and serving cupcakes.
He says exercise is part of the reason he made it to 94.
“I think it makes you live longer, and you live longer if you're well. But I've been fortunate to have pretty good health,” said McVay.
His exercise routine includes walking on the treadmill and using one of the weight machines. He also says he only drinks water and
He’s so faithful about his trips to the YMCA that when he doesn’t make it in to exercise, staff members call to check on him.

I come from a family of Long Livers!! :D
