mile run

Yes sir. The stock Camaro did 165 on its second and final run:dancer01:

Kevins hood pealed off, but it ran as fast as his ZR1, they went 188 each (yes he drove both):lmao:

I cant belive there were only a few C5s there.

That would be nice, I will be more prepared next year. The girls and I are abused badly today, I think school is out of the question.

Here is a pic of my sunburn starting up...lol You know I cant post a photo not making a face.

By the time we got back to Tampa I was blood red.

Really good hood, It came apart where the carbon fiber was bonded to the structure. at that speed even with it secured with rope/bungies and all kinds of other things it lifted and popped the shell off.

So basically you drove the Camaro to the race, ran 166 and then rode home in it ? Soiunds like an awesome car. Wonder how many rides were trailered in.
Wasn't Greg originally setting up the red C5 for the strip? Can tell his handy work with the home built intake, anybody can install an intake, not everyone can build one by hand. Pretty cool build considering it ran the same as a $130K ZR1. Now I assume the Camaro will be on the mod trail. What horsepower range is Greg looking for in his next magazine project car?

The 2001 Z06 was trailer'd in but he drove the ZR1 down. We drove the camaro and left the truck and trailer here and Im glad we did. That little old C5 sure held its own! Im sure the ZR1 would have done better if he ran again.

IDK what the horsepower range is for him, but we did a stock /cia dyno and got like 401 rwhp Thats not bad at all.
