My other Neighbor... (LONG)

ynkedad

Wassup!!!
From roughly 9am till 4pm we were all out back cleaning up leaves, branches etc.... We stopped at roughly 4pm, cleaned up and started BBQing. We had music (mellow stuff) going, downing a few (yea right) beers etc. I went out to adjust some sprinklers and my neighbor hollers at me to come over to the fence.
We chatted about the guy across the street from me and some other BS, when I said I had to get back to the grillin'. Blam...he then hits me with the " I hate to be this kind of neighbor" , but your music is too loud crap. I was like...Oh really, he's like yea, listen to it... Well, It sounded good to me:D
Note:
This guy's son, and all of his friends haul ass up and down the Dirt road on his their wheelers as well as in their trucks, hitting the corner spinning up dirt and dust that covers all of our vehicles, not to mention tearing up the road. Plays his music, (CRAP) at their house much louder than mine when his parents are gone. Comes home late at night with his Boom Box blaring in his truck while passing my house. Not to mention, this guy only speaks to me when he wants something or is complaining about someone.
So, I tell him, when he speaks to his son and all of his Boyfriends about what I mentioned above, I'd tone it down. He's like, I never knew (he's gone a lot)..I replied..I didn't say anything cuz, "I hate to be that kind of neighbor".

Thanks for allowing me to Vent!

I've got neighbors like that! I only hope I can keep my composure as well as you did if and when we butt heads.

Living next to yakedad must be very difficult.. :rofl1:
Oh, I missed the fact that the problem was the neighbors. :D

OK OK OK

Party at Ray's for Bar B Q, music and oh by the way bring your Glock for the truck tire shoot off.

Ken:icon_cheers:

UPDATE...

:wavey: Since our little chat took place, the neighbors son has spun out up and down the road almost daily and more aggressively than before:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: , usually when his dad isn't home. I've got pics of the torn up road for when his dad calls me to the fence next time:yesnod: .
Also, for those who may think I'm the problem (Stevek:D ). Classy and Rob were here yesterday and they witnessed the kid (22 yr old boy) on his 4 wheeler tearing up the road in front of my house.:yesnod:
Funny thing was, when he parked the 4 wheeler, he hopped on their tractor and proceeded to grade the road where he tore it up.
I sat there wondering why he'd fix the road... then I looked over at his house and saw that his dad was home.:dancer01:

I don't live anywhere near you and I'm pissed off....:toetap05: I hope you get to show the dad your photos, 'cept it probably won't make any difference to him.. He'll say you can't prove his son did it, unless of course you get pics of the kid in action!

Is that a public road or a private road? If I remember correctly, it is against the law to have an untagged motorized vehicle on public roadways.

Hmm...

I'm told it's a Right of Way. Our neighbor around the corner owns the land the road is on (so I'm told). It's Not county maintained. It hasn't had a Sign since before we moved here 9+ yrs ago; although the street continues across the hwy; and it has a sign:confused: .
I do however remember a few yrs ago, someone called the law on the same kid for driving his untagged truck up and down it and he was ticketed for it.
NO it wasn't me.
So because of the ticketing, I would assume it's public.?

Alot of counties have a public GIS website you can log on to and see who owns what property and where property lines really are. This website information is basically the tax collectors website for any county.

I would just call the cops and say the kid is being a public nuisance and a danger to legitimate traffic on the road.

I guess you do need to be concerned about midnight retribution, though. The kid (or father) could get resentful enough to key your cars. You just can't rule out that possibility, I guess.....
