Need help with Splash Guards

I really need advice about Pipedreams splash guards. I see how to put on the front ones. The rear ones use clips. Do you use one or two clips to hold each splash guard on the rear fenders? What did you use to pop the front pins off to place the front splash guards? I've heard use a flat screwdriver and others say use a small diagnol cutter to pry the pins loose. I am picking up my 07 in 3 weeks at the NCM and could really use your expertise and opinions. Many thanks in advance. Also I plan to purchase a C5 Creation Front Bra Recommended by the NCM as a temporary way to protect the front bumper from road grit and rocks until we get back to Bradenton, Fl. Then I plan to put on a 3M Clear Bra for better protection. NCM said to wait 90 days for the paint to fully cure before placing any permanent coatings. Any opinions here would be greatly appreciated.

You need to use 2 clips for each of the rear splash guards.
And I used 2 flat head screwdrivers (one on either side of the pin) to remove the pins. They're just sturdier and they came out Really Easy! I was told that the front were harder to do..NOT! those clips are a real BI*#h!

Thanks Ray. So what is the secret to using the clips? Do you spread them and them squeeze them tight with some needlenose pliers?
 
NOooooo, but i'll tell ya for a dollar!

:dancer01: Don't spread them, then try to sqeeze them tight again.
You'll be looking kinda funny with guards on JUST the front, because they'll fall off.
What finally worked for me, after several failed atempts, was lining the guard up to where it was going to be on the car, (marking the guard as to where the clips were goin) then sliding a clip onto a portion of the splash guard. I'd then finagel it (clip and guard) onto the wheel well panel. Then pushing it (clip) the rest of the way onto both of them, as I put the guards in place.

You'll soon see that when you're trying to do this, there's not much room to manuver while accomplishing this task, while trying not to scratch things. (Unless you remove the wheel).

Note: I also used the screwdriver to help push the clips into place, because they are very tight! Also, I started out trying to put the front guards on the rear:bigear: and was Ticked off for awhile , thinking I got screwed etc.:D

I must be blind because I could not see the clips in your pictures. I hope I don't freeze my arse in Bg putting these things on.:shrug01: :shrug01:
 
I assume the larger flaps are for the front. I noticed that the smaller flaps have two premade holes. Did you you these to line up your clips? Thanks agian for all your help. Mark

the flaps with the pre made holes are for the front you remove the pins and install the rear has the clips that you need to spread these are spring steel and can be a bitch! don over spread them or you will have to re squeez them to hold all toll it wasent to bad.quich tip the front pins can be removed with a tapered brake spoon tool that will release the pin and remove the outer plug good luck Mike.:dancer01:
