IM looking for a wide mouth ,METAL CONTAINER, (IDEALLY STAINLESS STEEL about 1 ltr capacity) with a screw on lid cylindrical in shape about 2.5-"-3" in diam. and 10"-12" tall to store EXPENSIVE push-rods, and VALVES ETC. in while they are soaking in oil/solvent mix , keeping them totally air/moisture tight, before & after being cleaned between uses, any ideas as to a cheap easy source are welcome

The larger sized aluminum water bottles are cheap (Walmart, dollar store, etc.) and may work. I know what your talking about though.....I open my drawes with pushrods and see surface rust starting. The new shop is climate controlled so it should not be as big of an issue as before in the heat & humidity.

I guess a vacuum sealed bottle would cost too much. I would get a nice container and store them immersed in oil. After the next oil change just save some.

How does that idea sound.

I was just looking at the orange juice section at the store and there are some juices in liter containers that appear to be glass with a plastic screw on top. The opening is not real big but it is big enough to put the push rods in and then some.
